
This tutorial was made using PSP9. A working knowledge of PSP is assumed.
Supplies Needed
Tube of choice. (One in a sitting position works best.)
I am using the awesome art of Daniel Esparza. You can purchase a licence to use his art at CDO.
BP_template20, made by me.
Mask, ccm7-90. I have no idea who this belongs to. If you do, please let me know so I can give credit.
Background papers of choice, or you can use mine. Here.
Fonts used are CowboyRhumbahut and English111Presto E
NOTE: This tutorial is written for the supplies I used. If you are using something different you may need to make adjustments.
*IPL = In Palette Layers
Let's Begin
Open supplies and the template in PSP. Duplicate template then delete the original.
IPL, delete the info layer. Delete the text StarPower layer.
Click on the white background layer. Layers - Add New Raster Layer. Fill this layer with the blue denim paper. Apply the mask. Layers - Merge - Merge Group. Reduce size to 90%. Go to Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - set to 3. Effects - Texture Effects - Weave. Settings: Gap = 2. Width = 6. Opacity = 1. Gap color is white. Put check in Fill Gap box. Reduce opacity to 60%. Move the mask up slightly so that it fits centered behind the template's large circle. See my tag.

Click on the large black circle. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. In your foreground color palette, under the pattern tab, locate the brown paisly paper. Fill the black circle with this paper. Selections - Select None. IPL, delete the original black circle.
Add a drop shadow. H & V = 2. Opacity = 80. Blur = 6. Color is black.

Make a color gradient. Foreground color is e8d1a7, and background color is af8259. In the foreground palette click the gradient tab. Settings: Style = Linear. Angle = 45. Repeats = 5.
Click on the large white ring. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with your gradient color.
Go to Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise. Set to 12.
Selections - Modify - Expand - by 1. Layers - New Raster. Fill with black. Selections - Select None.
IPL, delete the original ring layer. Move the gradient ring above the black ring. Right click the gradient ring and merge down to the black.

Click on the large white circle. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Paste, as a new layer, the fence paper. Position the fence as you like it. Selections - Invert. Delete. Selections - Invert. Selections - Modify - Expand by 1. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with black. Selections - Select None. IPL, delete the original white circle. Move the fence layer above the black layer. Right click the fence layer and merge down to the black.

Click on the name tag.
Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. In your foreground color palette, under the pattern tab, locate the red bandana paper. Set the scale to 100. Fill the name tag with this paper. Selections - Select None. IPL, delete the original name tag.
Click on the name tag background. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with this color e8d1a7. Selections - Select None. IPL, delete the original tag background layer. Right click the name tag and merge down to the background layer. Add same drop shadow as last used.

Paste, as a new layer, your tube. Mirror. Resize down to 90%. Position as if sitting on the name tag. See my tag. Add a drop shadow. H & V = 2. Opacity = 75. Blur = 10. Color is black.

Go to Layers - View - View None.
IPL, unhide all the star layers only. Make sure it's just the star and not the background. Right click any star layer and merge visible. Move this merged layer to the top of the palette layers.
Go to Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. In the foreground color palette, under the pattern tab, locate the denim paper. Fill each of the stars with the denim. Selections - Select None. IPL, delete the original star layer. Hide this layer.
Still In Palette Layers, unhide all the star background layers. Right click one and merge visible. Move this layer to the top of the palette layers, but below the star layer.
Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. In the foreground color palette, under the pattern tab, locate the red bandana paper. Fill each of the star backgrounds with the red.
Selections - Modify - Expand - by 1. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with this color e8d1a7. Selections - Select None. IPL, delete the original star background layer. Move the red star layer above the tan layer. Right click and merge down.
Unhide the denim stars layer. These should be one layer above the red. Right click and merge down. Add a drop shadow. H & V = 2. Opacity = 80. Blur = 6. Color is black. IPL, hide this layer.

IPL, unhide all the circle layers only. Delete tiny circle 1, Small circle 1, Small circle 4 and Med. circle 2. Right click any circle and merge visible. Move this layer to the top of the palette layers.
Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. In the foreground color palette, under the pattern tab, locate the red bandana paper. Set the scale to 50. Fill each of the circles with the red. Selections - Select None. IPL, delete the original circle layer. Hide this layer.
Unhide all the circle ring layers. Delete tiny circle 2 ring , small circle 2 ring, small circle 3 ring and med. circle 1 ring. Right click a remaining circle ring and merge visible. Move this layer to the top of the palette layers, one spot below the circle layers.
Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill each of the circle rings with the red bandana. Selections - Select None. IPL delete the original ring layer. Move this layer to the top of your palette layers with the circle one layer above. Unhide the circle layer and merge down to the ring layer. Now hide this layer.
IPL, unhide all the circle background layers. Right click one and merge visible. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill each of backgrounds with the denim paper used earlier. Selections - Modify - Expand by 1. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with this color e8d1a7. Selections - Select None.
IPL delete the original background layer. Move the blue layer above the tan layer. Right click and merge down. Unhide the merged red circle and ring layer. Move them above the blue layer if not already there. Right click and merge down.
Reduce size to 50%.
Move the circles to the right side of your tag. IPL, move the circle layer down to just above the mask layer. Right click and duplicate. Flip the duplicate. Move to the upper left of your tag. Have just a few circles showing. See my tag for example. To both set of circles add the same drop shadow last used.

In your text box type out the word Howdy, or whatever you like. I used the font CowboyRhumbahut, size 30 Bold. Background color is e8d1a7. Foreground is null. Rotate right by 30 degrees. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat - Modify - Expand by 1. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with black. Selections - Select None. IPL, Move the tan layer above the black. Right Click and merge down. Add the same drop shadow. Position the word in the center of the large star on the upper right of your tag. See my tag.
For the name text, I used the font English111Presto E, size 55 Bold. I chose a color from the boots for the background color. Foreground is null. Position the name to the lower right of your tag. See my tag.
Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat - Modify - Expand by 1. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with this color e8d1a7. Selections - Select None. IPL, move the brown layer above the tan. Right click and merge down. Add the same drop shadow.
Make sure all layers are now merged visible.
Add correct copyrights. Save as a jpeg or png file.
