This tutorial was written in PSP9. A working knowledge of PSP is assumed.

Supplies Needed

Several
Keith Garvey tubes. You can purchase them at PTE.
BP_template147, made by me.
Optional: My background papers.

NOTE: This tutorial is written for the supplies I used. If you are using something different, you may need to make adjustment to some settings.

Let's Begin

Open supples and template147 in PSP.

Duplicate template and delete original. IPL, delete the info layer and all the shadow layers that are marked (delete).

In your color palette create a black gradient. Foregound is 000000 and background is 808080. In foreground palette, click the gradient tab. Settings: Style = Linear. Angle = 45. Repeats = 5.

Click the black background. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. Fill with gradient color. Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise. Set to Gaussian - Monochrome - 12. Selections - Modify - Expand - by 1. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with Black. Selections - Select None.
IPL, delete the original black background. Move the gradient layer above the solid black. Right click and merge down. Add a drop shadow. H & V = 2. Opacity = 75. Blur = 6. Color is black.

Let's keep with the black gradient. These steps apply for all 4 frames.
We will be keeping the original black background layers for each frame.
Select a frame. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with black gradient. Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise - set to 12. Selections - Select none. IPL, delete the original frame layer. Move the gradient layer above the original rectangle's black bg. Right click and merge down. Add same drop shadow last used. Repeat for other 3 frames.

Once more with the black gradient.

Click the text GARValicious. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with black gradient. Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise - set to 12.  Selections - Select none.  IPL, delete the original Garv layer. Move the gradient layer above the original Garv's  black trim layer. Right click and merge down.

These steps apply to all the frame fill layers. Select a frame fill layer, Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Paste, as a new layer, the pink circle paper.
Position it how you want the fill to look.
Selections - Invert - Delete. Selections - Invert. 
Paste, as a new layer, a tube of choice. Position as you like. Selections - Invert. Delete. Selections - Select None.  
Add a drop shadow to your tube. IPL, delete the original frame fill layer.  Repeat for the other three frame fills.( You may want to move the pink circle paper around so that each frame fill is a little different. You also want your tubes to be different sizes. See my tag for reference.)

Click on the pink background layer. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. New Raster Layer. In the foreground color palette, click the pattern tab and select the blue star paper. Angle = 0. Size = 100. Fill the new Raster layer. Selections - Modify - Expand -  by 1. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with black. Selections - Select None. IPL, delete the original pink bg. Move the blue star paper layer above the black layer. Right click and merge down. Add same drop shadow.

Stars. Select one. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. In your foreground patterns, select the silver sparkle paper. Angle = 0. Scale = 36. Fill the star layer. Selections - Select None. IPL, delete the original star layer. Repeat this for other two stars.

New gradient color. Settings will be the same as for the black. Colors are foreground 656565, and background is e6e6e6.

Select a star trim.  Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with new gradient. Selections - Select None. IPL delete original trim layer. Add same drop shadow. Repeat for other two star trims.

Hearts.  Select a heart. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. In your foreground patterns, select the pink sparkle paper. Angle = 0. Scale = 36. Fill the heart layer. Selections - Select None. IPL, delete the original heart layer. Repeat this for other two hearts.


New gradient color. Settings will be the same as just used. Colors are foreground e76161, and background is e8c2c3.

Select a heart trim.  Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with new gradient. Selections - Select None. IPL delete original trim layer. Add same drop shadow. Repeat for other two heart  trims.

Click the text GARValicious background layer. Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat. Modify - Expand - by 1.  Layers - New Raster Layer. In the foreground color palette click the pattern tab and select the blue sparkly paper. Angle = 0. Scale = 36. Fill the new Raster Layer. Selections - Select None. IPL, delete the original background layer.

Add this drop shadow. H & V = 1. Opacity = 100. Blur = 0. Color is black. Another drop shadow. H & V = -1. Opacity = 100. Blur = 0. Color is black. One more drop shadow. H & V = 2. Opacity = 75. Blur = 6. Color is black.

IPL, hide the white background layer. Right click any other layer and merge visible. Go to Image - Re-size. Settings: Width = 500,  Height = 462 Pixels. Put check in Resample using box, and Lock aspect ratio box. Smart Size. Do Not check Re-size all layers.

Unhide the white background layer. Click it and then go up to Layers - New Raster Layer. Fill with the blue sparkly paper. Apply the winni.4.1 mask. Layers - Merge - Merge Group. Re-size down to 70%. Duplicate. Click the original mask layer. Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - Set to 10. Click on the duplicate. Re-size down to 94% and duplicate.

Layers - Merge - Merge Visible. Use your crop tool to crop off any extra white area you don't want.

Add copyright info and a name. Save .
